Position Overview
Viet Haus is seeking an experienced Senior Sales Executive – Export to develop international business for our spices, herbs, botanicals and food ingredients.
The successful candidate will identify and develop overseas customers, manage commercial opportunities from initial contact through shipment, and build long-term relationships with importers, distributors, food manufacturers and ingredient companies.
Key Responsibilities
• Identify and develop new international customers for spices, herbs, botanicals and food ingredients.
• Build relationships with importers, distributors, food manufacturers, seasoning companies, beverage companies and ingredient buyers.
• Manage the complete export sales cycle, including prospecting, customer qualification, quotations, sampling, negotiation, order confirmation and after-sales follow-up.
• Manage and grow existing customer accounts through regular communication and proactive opportunity development.
• Understand customers’ requirements regarding specifications, quality standards, certifications, packaging, pricing and delivery terms.
• Prepare quotations and negotiate pricing, payment terms, Incoterms, shipment schedules and commercial conditions.
• Coordinate with sourcing, quality assurance, production, supply chain and logistics teams to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Work with the Quality Assurance team to complete customer questionnaires, specifications, technical documents and product-approval requirements.
• Monitor international market trends, competitor activities, crop conditions, supply availability and pricing developments.
• Develop sales plans for assigned products, markets and key accounts.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and customer records in the company’s CRM/ERP system.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts, opportunity reports and market updates.
• Participate in international trade fairs, buyer meetings and industry events when required.
• Coordinate the handling of customer feedback, claims and corrective actions with relevant departments.
• Achieve agreed targets for sales revenue, gross margin, new customer development and account growth.
• Support junior sales or sales-support employees when required.
[Requirements]
Candidate Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, Food Science, Agriculture or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant export sales experience.
• Proven experience in the export of spices and herbs is required.
• Experience with botanicals, agricultural commodities, organic products or food ingredients is an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to find new customers and convert sales opportunities into commercial orders.
• Good understanding of export procedures, international trade documentation, Incoterms and payment terms.
• Familiarity with product specifications, food safety, traceability and certifications such as Organic, HACCP, ISO 22000, BRCGS or Fairtrade is preferred.
• Existing relationships with international ingredient buyers, importers, distributors or food manufacturers are a strong advantage.
• Strong prospecting, negotiation, presentation and customer relationship-management skills.
• Good written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Comfortable using CRM, ERP and Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
