We are looking for an experienced Import–Export Executive with strong expertise in trading operations, shipment handling, and supplier coordination. The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience in import–export within the chemical industry (preferred: paint, ink, cosmetics, food ingredients, or related chemical sectors). This position also plays a crucial role in demand planning to support purchasing accuracy and inventory optimization. Key Responsibilities 1. Purchase Order (PO) & Supplier Management • Process purchase orders accurately and ensure timely submission to suppliers. • Coordinate with suppliers on order confirmation, delivery schedule, documentation (PI, COA, MSDS, packing list, etc.). • Manage both commercial shipments and sample requests, ensuring proper tracking and documentation. • Follow up closely on shipment status, production lead time, and resolve issues proactively. 2. Shipment & Import–Export Operations • Work with freight forwarders on booking, shipping instructions, customs clearance, and delivery to warehouse. • Monitor cargo movement end-to-end: ETD/ETA, delays, customs status, demurrage/detention. • Ensure timely warehouse unloading and accurate inbound stock updates. • Handle import/export documents in compliance with local regulations. 3. Demand Planning & Inventory Control • Collect sales forecasts and historical data to prepare demand forecast for purchasing. • Monitor inventory level to ensure stock availability while minimizing overstock. • Track slow-moving and aging stock, propose action plans to sales/purchasing teams. • Support purchasing decisions to optimize stock health and prevent shortages. 4. Internal Coordination • Work closely with sales, warehouse, finance, and suppliers to ensure smooth operations. • Maintain updated data in ERP system (PO, inventory, shipment status, sample records). • Provide timely updates on shipment delays, urgent issues, or supply risks. 5. Reporting & Administrative Tasks • Prepare shipment reports, inventory reports, demand planning reports. • Monitor supplier payment schedules and coordinate with finance for timely processing. • Support continuous improvement for operational efficiency. [Requirements] Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, International Business, Supply Chain, or related fields. • Minimum 2 years of experience in import–export; experience in chemicals trading is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of international trade, logistics, shipping documentation, and customs procedures. Skills • Solid experience in working with overseas suppliers and freight forwarders. • Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with ERP systems. • Strong English communication for daily business interaction. • Good analytical skills for demand planning and inventory management. • High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
