About Optris Vietnam To meet the continuously growing demand from customers while maintaining the high quality standards of Optris GmbH & Co. KG, Optris Vietnam was established and is currently building up its manufacturing activities in Vietnam, focusing on the assembly and processing of semi-finished products and electronic modules used for infrared sensors. We are looking for an Electronics Assembly Team Leader who would like to join us at an early stage and contribute to building the local team as well as the assembly, inspection and quality processes in Vietnam. The position will be directly involved in the transfer of manufacturing know-how from Germany and will work closely with the General Manager. Reporting to: General Manager / Manufacturing Operations Director Work Location: Lot L2, Long Hau – Hiep Phuoc Road, Long Hau Industrial Park, Long Hau 3 Hamlet, Can Giuoc Commune, Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam Main Responsibilities • Organize, assign and supervise daily activities. • Participate directly in the assembly, processing, inspection and troubleshooting of semi-finished products and electronic modules used for infrared sensors. • Ensure production follows BOMs, work instructions, technical documentation and quality requirements. • Perform and supervise incoming and in-process quality inspections. • Monitor production output, pass/fail rates, rework and scrap. • Support root-cause analysis and propose corrective actions. • Train and guide employees in assembly, electronic soldering, ESD and quality requirements. • Evaluate employee productivity, workmanship, work quality and process compliance. • Update and review production and quality data in ERP and other digital systems. • Prepare and review daily and weekly production and quality reports together with the General Manager. • Ensure compliance with 5S, ESD, safety and quality requirements. • Key Performance Indicators • Production plan achievement • Product pass/fail rate, rework rate and scrap rate • Employee productivity and efficiency • Compliance with production and quality processes • Training results and qualification of new employees • Specific KPI targets will be defined according to each ramp-up stage and product requirements. [Requirements] • College, vocational college or Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation or a related field. • Approximately 2–4 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or electronic assembly. • Practical experience and good technical knowledge of electronic soldering and assembly of electronic devices. • Experience with PCBs, wires/cables, sensors or precision electronic products is an advantage. • Ability to guide, train or coordinate production employees. • Basic understanding of quality inspection, defect analysis, rework and troubleshooting. • Ability to read BOMs, work instructions, drawings and technical documentation. • Knowledge of ESD is an advantage. • Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel. • Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage. Languages • Fluent Vietnamese communication skills. • Good working knowledge of English, preferably around B2 level, especially technical English, or • Good conversational German skills, preferably around B2 level. Travel • Willingness to travel internationally when required, including occasional technical training at Optris in Germany.
