Key objectives - Prepare and execute experiments, create product protypes in laboratory, analyze results and complete related reports - Prepare and follow up sensory evaluation, supervise pilot and production trial of NPD (New Product Development) and non-NPD projects - Manage Sensory Panel, provide technical support for local projects - Manage equipment and facilities in R&D lab, manage R&D data in SAP system Job Responsibilities - Provide support in the development and implementation of innovation, renovation and value engineering projects, by ensuring the compliance to Company regulations, including, not limited to, Food Safety & Quality and SHE (Safety–Health–Environment) - Conduct experiments for NPD and non-NPD projects in scale of laboratory - Follow up pilot runs, production trial runs, manage related reports for on-time in-full delivery. - Take responsibilities in shelf-life evaluation and reporting of NPD and non-NPD projects - Play role of Sensory Panel Leader: Screen, recruit and maintain sensory panel, time keeping management, panel performance monitoring following procedure and protocols from Global Sensory Development Team - Sensory Methodology: Co-ordinate with Global Sensory Development Team in rolling out (new) test methods of internal sensory evaluation at local, evaluate and provide inputs for improvement - External sensory test (consumer product test): Support in research briefing in alignment with MKT and R&D (regional and local), prepare questionnaire guideline for research agency, protypes screening, backyard testing, pre-testing before going for final validation, supervise consumer test fieldwork - Specification: Take part in raw materials specification and finished products specification management process, ensuring on-time in-full deliverables, on and off system - Product Registration: Take care of new label declaration, checking and finetuning; take care of product proclamation dossier preparation. - Analyze samples in co-operation with QC Department, prepare overview and generate project reports - Trouble shooting and risk analysis in cooperation with cross functions - Keep up-to-date about market trend, latest development of technology - Control filing system/glass wares/equipment in lab - Provide support in department budget control - The above responsibilities are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required of employees assigned to this job. [Requirements] The employee must meet the following minimum job requirements to successfully perform the job: - Education: Bachelor degree (in Food Technology, Food Engineering or Food Science). - Experience: 4-5 years of experience. - Skills: • Product development, food technology knowledge. • Sensory development. • English writing and speaking. • Good communication skill, presentation skill. • Statistics for data analysis (sensory and consumers). • Sensory software (XLSTAT, EyeQuestion…). • SAP system (PLM, ECC). • Detailed and careful to handle lab-scale/testing criteria.
