RESPONSIBILITIES: The Tax & Treasury Manager is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, providing tax advisory services, ensuring adherence to local tax regulations, and managing treasury operations. This role plays a critical part in tax management and supporting business operations. A. Taxes: 1. Tax Compliance - Manage the preparation, review, and timely submission of tax returns and related filings. - Ensure compliance with all applicable tax regulations (direct and indirect taxes). - Manage, coordinate, and liaise with internal stakeholders, external tax advisors, and tax authorities during tax audits, inquiries, investigations, and litigation. - Monitor tax-related legislative and regulatory changes, proactively assess their impact, communicate implications to management, and implement necessary actions. - Liaise with Group Tax and Finance teams on cross-border tax matters and overseas settlements. - Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations and documentation requirements. - Coordinate with the Finance & Accounting team to regularly review and reconcile all tax-related account movements and balances, and promptly resolve any long-outstanding items. 2. Tax Advisory and planning - Communicate, and implement local tax planning initiatives aligned with business objectives. - Provide tax advice on business transactions from both direct and indirect tax perspectives, including withholding tax matters and cross-border activities. - Provide advice to the HR team on personal income tax (PIT) matters, where applicable. 3. Stakeholder Management - Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and other business functions to provide practical tax advice on business operations and projects. - Manage relationships with tax authorities and external tax consultants. - Provide training and updates to internal stakeholders on tax developments and regulatory changes. 4. Tax Reporting & Efficiency - Review tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements (e.g., deferred tax, current tax, and uncertain tax positions). - Collaborate with relevant teams to maintain effective controls and reconciliation processes, ensuring alignment between accounting and tax reporting, including e-invoicing. - Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes and leverage technology to improve efficiency and accuracy. 5. Tax Portal/System Administration - Monitor the e-invoicing system from a tax compliance perspective, resolve issues promptly with the IT and Finance teams, and ensure internal processes remain aligned. - Work closely with the IT department to maintain and safeguard digital credentials in accordance with company policies. B. Treasury: - Lead and support local and corporate treasury initiatives. - Manage banking-related activities, including bank account administration, deposits, and foreign currency transactions. - Review and authorize payments through the e-banking system. - Manage cash flow and ensure sufficient funding to support business growth. - Liaise with the State Bank of Vietnam regarding foreign loan applications and related regulatory reporting requirements. - Maintain strong relationships with banking partners. C. Others: - Manage, coach, and develop team members - Perform other duties as assigned by line managers. [Requirements] Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. - Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, CTA, or CA are preferred. Experience: - 6-8 years of experience in Tax and Treasury. Experience in both Big Four/public accounting and in-house corporate environments is an advantage. - Strong knowledge of corporate tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards. - Experience managing tax audits and liaising with tax authorities is preferred. - Knowledge of Oracle, SAP, other ERP systems, and e-invoicing systems is preferred. - Advanced knowledge of data analytics and data processing tools is an advantage. - Experience in multinational retail or consumer goods companies is an advantage. Skills & Competencies: - Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results. - Strong business acumen with a proactive and collaborative mindset focused on continuous improvement and best practices. - Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities - Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Vietnamese.
