Role purpose: Strengthen Yamaha’s professional audio brand, create market demand, and build market-wide technical capability by translating product technologies into practical applications, credible customer communication, and scalable channel enablement. This role leads to direct technical engagement with end users, equips dealers and system integrators through training and reusable resources, and supports Sales with product-level pre-sales consultation. It is not a Customer Service, repair, or dealer-dedicated system-engineering position.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct end-user engagement and market generation: Proactively engage end users, consultants, engineers, and technical influencers to understand operational needs, identify unmet applications, communicate Yamaha’s value, conduct demonstrations, and create qualified opportunities for the Sales Team.
- Dealer and channel capability development: Design and deliver structured product, application, and solution training for dealers, internal teams, and channel partners. Develop reusable modules, certification pathways, technical sales tools, reference configurations, application guides, and FAQs that improve channel self-sufficiency.
- Public workshops and market education: Plan and conduct seminars, product clinics, webinars, hands-on demonstrations, and technical workshops for dealer technicians, SI technicians, consultants, installers, engineers, and end users to strengthen market knowledge and confidence in Yamaha solutions.
- Technical community engagement and market insight: Maintain regular communication with dealer technicians, SI technicians, consultants, and system engineers. Capture application needs, capability gaps, competitor intelligence, and market feedback, and convert them into training priorities, content, solution concepts, and product-marketing recommendations.
- Sales and scalable pre-sales enablement: Support the Sales Team with product-level technical consultation, including product selection, compatibility, application fit, demonstrations, technical clarification, and spec-in guidance for strategic, new, or complex opportunities. Convert recurring inquiries into standardized tools and learning assets rather than continuing case-by-case execution for individual dealers.
- Digital audio content development: Collaborate with Digital Marketing to create technically accurate and engaging content for websites, social media, videos, campaigns, webinars, and digital learning. Translate complex technologies into clear customer benefits, use cases, scripts, product comparisons, demonstrations, and practical application stories.
- Product-marketing activities and demonstration environment: Prepare systems, demonstrations, cabling, and technical requirements for product launches, exhibitions, workshops, and brand activities. Maintain the Yamaha Digital Audio Creative Center as a market-development, demonstration, and learning platform.
- Governance and role boundaries: Own technical market development, end-user education, and channel enablement—not dealer project execution. Dealers and system integrators retain ownership of detailed system design, drawings, bills of materials, installation planning, commissioning, project engineering, and first-line support. The role does not own repair, warranty, spare parts, complaint handling, or routine Customer Service tickets.
- Perform other relevant duties assigned by the line manager.
