The R&D Engineer will be responsible for researching raw materials for welding consumables, focusing on inorganic chemical components, flux coatings, and silicate binder chemistry. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: • Research silicate chemistry, inorganic raw materials (bauxite, rutile, iron powder, ferroalloys), and flux slag systems to improve welding performance. • Manage physical and chemical testing of raw materials, laboratory-scale trials, and mass production testing. • Analyze chemical compositions and metallurgical behavior to address product defects or quality issues. • Coordinate directly with domestic and international suppliers regarding raw material technical specifications, quotations, testing samples, and trial results. • Evaluate alternative raw materials for cost optimization and quality stability. • Plan and execute R&D trial schedules, tracking project milestones from lab testing to mass trial integration. • Collaborate with production and quality control (QC) teams to troubleshoot production issues related to material formulations. [Requirements] Education & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Silicate Engineering, or related fields. • Strong knowledge of Inorganic Chemistry, Silicate Technology, or ceramic/binder chemistry. • Experience in welding consumables, metallurgy, flux formulation, or raw material testing is a strong advantage (Fresh graduates with strong chemical backgrounds are welcome). Language & Communication • English: Good verbal and written communication skills (able to conduct meetings, exchange technical emails with international suppliers, and prepare reports). Skills & Competencies • Analytical mindset, structured problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team. • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
