[Responsibilities] Build, maintain, and evolve Grove’s Android app using Kotlin and the Android SDK Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Design, Backend, and Mobile teams to deliver end-to-end features Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested Kotlin code with a focus on performance and reliability Leverage the latest AI technologies to scale mobile development Participate in: Code reviews Technical design discussions Architecture decisions Improve app quality through: Testing Monitoring Performance optimization Support production releases and help troubleshoot and resolve issues Contribute to improving: Engineering standards Tooling Best practices [Requirements] 3–5 years of professional mobile development experience Strong proficiency in: Kotlin Android build ecosystem Experience shipping and maintaining native Android applications Proven ability to leverage AI tools Experience integrating mobile apps with: REST APIs GraphQL APIs Backend services Solid understanding of: Git workflows Collaborative code reviews Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset Passion for building polished, user-friendly mobile experiences Nice to Have Familiarity with Jetpack Compose Familiarity with Shopify and its APIs Experience with modern state management: Coroutines Flow or similar Experience with mobile testing frameworks: Espresso JUnit or similar Exposure to: Analytics Feature flags Experimentation platforms Experience working on: E-commerce apps Subscription-based mobile apps Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications
