Job Overview: The HR Manager is a key member of the school’s leadership team, responsible for shaping and executing strategic HR initiatives aligned with SNA’s mission and values. This role ensures that all human resource operations are legally compliant, people-focused, and effectively support school-wide objectives related to talent acquisition, staff development, and organizational culture. Duties & responsibilities: 1. Strategic HR Leadership - Collaborate with school leadership to align HR strategies with institutional goals. - Lead the development and implementation of HR policies and frameworks to drive employee engagement, performance, and retention. - Monitor organizational needs and workforce trends to support strategic planning and staffing models. 2. Talent Acquisition & Management - Oversee full-cycle recruitment and onboarding for faculty and staff. - Implement best practices in hiring and talent development to ensure high-quality staffing. - Manage performance evaluation processes, including goal setting, feedback, and continuous improvement. 3. HR Operations & Compliance - Ensure consistent and legally compliant execution of HR procedures (contracts, benefits, leave, payroll coordination, etc.). - Maintain updated knowledge of Vietnamese labor law and global HR standards; adjust policies accordingly. - Manage employee relations and disciplinary matters professionally and equitably. 4. People Development & Culture - Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture. - Oversee staff training, workshops, and professional development aligned with the school’s goals. - Lead and mentor the HR team to build internal capacity and expertise. 5. Budget & Resource Management - Take ownership of the HR department’s annual budget, including forecasting, planning, and reporting. - Monitor and control expenditures to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising service quality. - Work closely with the Finance team to align HR spending with strategic priorities and school policies. 6. HR Systems & Reporting - Manage and optimize the school’s HR information systems (HRIS). - Analyze HR data and provide actionable insights to leadership on staffing, retention, and engagement. - Perform other tasks assigned by the Managing Director. [Requirements] Education - Bachelor's degree or higher in Human Resources, Business administration or related field. Specialized requirements - 8 years of experience in Human Resources. 5 years of experience as a Human Resources Manager - Experience in an international/ bilingual school is an advantage - Excellent written and verbal English skills - High-level knowledge of Labor Laws and Employee Relation. - Demonstrable skills critical for managerial success, including leadership, decisiveness, collaboration, flexibility, sound business judgement, highly developed personal, analytical and communications skills. - Demonstrable skills in consensus building and mediation to constructively address employee conflicts. - Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing, to all levels of staff and management, external stakeholders, and agencies, expressing ideas and instructions clearly and concisely. - Project management and change management skills: able to organize and work independently on multiple assigned tasks and projects and complete assignments within deadlines. - Demonstration of the highest level of ethical behavior. - Ability to study and apply new information and take initiatives. - High sense of confidentiality of sensitive information - Ability to work effectively, professionally, and tactfully with a diverse workforce, the leadership team and external parties. - High level knowledge and experience with Microsoft suites including word, excel, PowerPoint and Project.
